Hilton Aspire Card Welcome Offer Jumps to 200,000 Points

September 14, 2026

TL;DR: The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card now offers 200,000 Hilton Honors points after $6,000 in purchases in the first six months, up from 150,000 for the same spend. The offer ends January 13, 2027. It is the largest points offer this card has carried, and it is points only, with no Free Night Reward attached.

What changed

American Express raised the Aspire welcome offer by 50,000 points and left everything else where it was. New accounts earn 200,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases in the first six months of card membership. Hilton's own credit card page carries the offer with an expiration of January 13, 2027.

The previous public offer was 150,000 points for the same $6,000 in the same six months. That is a 33 percent raise with no catch in the spending requirement, which is the part issuers usually move at the same time. The annual fee is $550 and is not waived in the first year.

The one detail to get right

The Aspire offer is points only. It does not include a Free Night Reward.

That matters because the other Hilton cards refreshed at the same time do include one. The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card is offering 130,000 points plus a Free Night Reward after $3,000, and the Hilton Honors Business Card is offering 150,000 points plus a Free Night Reward after $8,000, both through the same January 13, 2027 date. At least one headline elsewhere has folded a free night into the Aspire offer too. Hilton's page does not.

What the Aspire does have is a separate Annual Free Night Reward that every cardholder receives in the first year and again at each renewal. That is part of the card, not the welcome offer, and it has not changed. Apply and you get the 200,000 points and the annual free night, not a second free night on top.

Who this affects

If you already hold the Aspire, nothing on your card changed. Welcome offers go to new accounts only. Your annual fee, your earning rates, your Diamond status, and your statement credits are all exactly where they were last week.

The people this matters to are the ones who have been waiting for a better Aspire offer. Independent coverage calls this the largest points offer the card has carried; the sign-up bonus history on the Aspire card page lets you check that against every version the card has run.

What to do about it

Start with the only question that decides this: can you put $6,000 on a new card inside six months on spending you were already going to do? That is $1,000 a month. If it means inventing purchases, the math changes.

Then price the first year. The $550 annual fee posts right away. Against it, the card carries up to $400 in Hilton resort credits, paid as up to $200 in each half of the year, up to $200 in flight credits paid as up to $50 a quarter, up to $219 toward a CLEAR Plus membership, up to $100 at Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties on a two-night stay, plus the Annual Free Night Reward. Each credit is worth its full amount only if you use it inside its window.

The six-month spending window is where welcome bonuses are actually lost, and it starts at account opening, not at first use. If you apply, add the card and its opening date to your wallet and The Points Pro will email you as the window runs down. Sign-up bonus emails go to every signed-in member, so a free account covers it.

The fine print

The offer runs through January 13, 2027, which is four months out. American Express applies its usual welcome offer eligibility rules, so if you have held this card before, read the offer terms rather than assuming you qualify.

Hilton points are a hotel currency. If you do not stay at Hilton properties, this offer is not for you no matter how large the number is.

The credits run on their own clocks: the flight credit by quarter, the resort credit by half year, the CLEAR Plus credit by calendar year. None of them wait for your card anniversary, so the month you open the card decides how much of the first set you can realistically use.

We monitor this card and will post an update if the offer or its January 13 end date moves.
