Terms of Service
Effective October 3, 2026. These Terms are a legal agreement between you and ThePointsPro LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company (“The Points Pro,” “we,” “us”).
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using The Points Pro, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Disclosures. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “The service” and “the site” mean the The Points Pro website and the The Points Pro mobile app for iPhone and Android, which use the same account and are covered by these Terms together.
2. What the service is
The Points Pro is an informational tool that helps you compare rewards credit cards and estimate their value based on public card data and the information you provide. It is not a bank, lender, broker, or financial, tax, legal, or credit advisor, and it does not apply for cards on your behalf.
3. Estimates and issuer terms
All values are estimates and are not guarantees. Card offers, benefits, fees, and terms are set and may be changed by the issuer, may vary by applicant, and are subject to the issuer’s current terms and approval. You are responsible for reviewing the issuer’s official terms before applying. Where we estimate a certificate's expiry date, your program account shows the actual date, and using a certificate before it expires remains your responsibility. Transfer bonuses are promotions set by the issuer, which may change their size, dates, or eligibility, end them early, or offer them only to some members. A bonus we label a rumor has been reported by one publication and not confirmed by us; it may not exist. A transfer of points to a partner program generally cannot be reversed, so confirm a bonus and its terms with the issuer before you transfer; we are not responsible for a transfer made in reliance on a bonus we show. 4. Card application compensation
We may earn referral compensation when you apply for a card through an application link on the site. This never affects our rankings or estimates, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any card issuer. See our Disclosures.
5. Paid plans and billing
The core tools are free. Optional paid plans (currently called Navigator) add convenience features such as email reminders, transfer bonus details and alerts, and unlimited card tracking. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your payment card details.
- Subscriptions. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal linked from your preferences; you keep plan features until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made.
- Free trials. Where a trial is offered, you are not charged until the trial ends, and canceling during the trial costs nothing.
- Founder's Passport. A one-time purchase that provides access to the paid plan's features, plus any features we designate as Founder exclusives from time to time (currently including the year simulator and early access to new features), for as long as The Points Pro operates the service. The set of Founder-exclusive features may change as the service evolves. It is not a subscription and never renews. It is a purchase of service access only: it does not provide equity, ownership, revenue participation, or any other investment interest in ThePointsPro LLC.
- Price changes. We may change plan prices; changes to a subscription price take effect at your next renewal, with notice.
- Downgrades. If your paid access ends, your data is kept: cards over the free plan's limits stop being actively tracked but are never deleted by a downgrade.
- Purchases through the app stores. A plan bought inside the mobile app is a purchase from Apple (through the App Store) or Google (through Google Play), billed, renewed, canceled and refunded under their terms, not ours. Cancel such a subscription in your Apple or Google subscription settings; canceling your The Points Pro account does not cancel it, and it keeps renewing until you cancel it with them. Refund requests for those purchases go to Apple or Google. A plan bought on the website is billed by us through Stripe as described above and cannot be managed in the app stores.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; contact us at legal@asktpp.com and we will try to sort out anything that seems unfair.

5a. Companion profile linking
Some plans include the ability to link one other profile as a Companion by invitation. Linking shares limited wallet information between the two profiles as described in our Privacy Policy. You may only invite an email address you have permission to contact, and only the owner of the invited address may accept. Companion linking never transfers card ownership, does not create joint accounts, and does not permit sharing of login credentials. Either linked person may end the link at any time, and the link may end automatically when the qualifying plan ends.
5b. Refer a Friend program
Members in good standing get a personal invite link. A person who creates a new account through that link receives a limited free period of paid access, and the referring member earns free access once enough referred friends have joined and added at least one card. One referral may be recorded per new account. The current numbers are shown on your preferences page and in our FAQ, and may change from time to time.
A referral stays provisional for a limited period after the friend joins. If that account is closed or removed within the period, the referral stops counting and any reward already granted is shortened accordingly. Referrals that turn into paying members are counted toward a separate permanent-access milestone; that milestone is distinct from the Founder's Passport, which is a purchase.
Rewards are access to the service only. They have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be exchanged, sold, or refunded, and are not compensation. Free access does not renew automatically and nothing is charged when it ends.
You are responsible for how you share your link, including following the rules of any platform you post it on and not sending unsolicited bulk email. We never send messages to your contacts on your behalf and never ask you for their addresses.
Because you may receive free access when someone joins through your link, that is a material connection under the FTC's Endorsement Guides. The invite page your link opens states it. If you recommend the service anywhere that page is not the first thing a person sees (a post, a video, a message), you agree to disclose clearly and near the recommendation that you may receive a benefit if they join, and to describe the service and the offer accurately.
Referring yourself, creating or coordinating accounts that are not genuine new users, automating sign-ups, or misrepresenting the service in order to generate referrals will void the rewards involved and may result in suspension or termination of your account. We may withhold or reverse a reward we reasonably believe was obtained this way.
We may change or end the program at any time. Access already granted is honored for the term it was granted for.
5c. The mobile app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the The Points Pro app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the usage rules of the store you got it from. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms, have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and are not responsible for it or for any claim about it; where the app was obtained from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Push notifications are optional; you can turn them off in the app or in your device settings at any time.
6. Intellectual property; trademarks
The site’s design, text, and original compilations are owned by ThePointsPro LLC and protected by law. Card, issuer, airline, and hotel names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify and describe the products discussed; such use does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by unauthorized means, scrape or bulk-extract its content, or use it in violation of applicable law.
8. No warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that information is complete, current, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThePointsPro LLC and its members and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its estimates or recommendations.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. We will revise the effective date above.
